Biotech Educator of the Year

BioLink Depot

Biolink Depot is a unique Bay Area organization promoting scientific training and literacy for students, by providing millions of dollars worth of laboratory equipment and supplies at no cost. We collect laboratory supplies donated by Bay Area technology, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, process these at large warehouses and then redistribute through a series of open houses for teachers and researchers from schools, colleges, universities and community labs.

Biolink Depot, operated mostly by volunteers, has been serving the Bay Area educational community for more than 16 years. Our efforts have allowed underserved institutions to expand their laboratory classes and research programs without any additional outlay for scientific gear. The strong partnerships that BioLink Depot has developed with local technology companies has proven to be beneficial to the biosciences community with greater than 17,000 students being positively impacted in 2017. Our partnership has helped make the San Francisco Bay area the epicenter of biotechnological innovation. With your financial support we will continue enabling science education.
